Memorial Day Service @ Cold Harbor

May 25th, 2026 at 10:00

The camp will host its annual re-dedication event at the Cold Harbor National Cemetery. The event will include a color guard salvo by Don Wells and the Youth Virginia Regiment, ancestor naming, and the placing of over 500 flowers on headstones at the ceremony's conclusion. A SUVCW luncheon will follow afterwards at

Sons of the American Revolution 250th Event @ Gwynn Island

Come celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Gwynn's Island (July 9, 1776). Camp #63 members will lay a wreath at the ceremony. Time and details TBA. The SAR will continue doing events at Gwynn's Island through that Saturday.

The 145th National Encampment of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and the Allied Orders will be held in Gettysburg, PA. This is open to all members.

Q&A and Group Tour of Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier

Join the Brady Camp starting at 0930 for a 30 minute Q&A followed by a tour guided by Pamplin Historical Park Staff. Admission fee will be between $11 - $14 and is open to the public.

Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier is a 424-acre historical campus that features world-class museums, antebellum homes, and a National Historic Landmark Civil War battlefield. It has been called "the new crown jewel of Civil War sites in America" by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian James M. McPherson of Princeton University.

Expect moderate walking around the site. We'll meet in front of the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier by the parking lot.

Annual Camp Meeting and Election of Officers (Members Only)

Our agenda will include our annual business meeting followed by the election of Camp officers for the coming term. A pre-meeting agenda will be mailed out two weeks before the event. All are encouraged to attend and participate. Virtual participation will be attempted but not recommended - see camp email for link and details. 

This is a one hour meeting and two hour luncheon off the regular menu. Tabled event room reserved for two hours. Virtual Meeting to begin at 12:45 via Google Meets.
